Distillery Tour

No Distillery has earned more domestic and international accolades than Buffalo Trace. Writers, enthusiasts and spirits competitions around the globe have awarded more than 500 accolades to our brands. The title of “world’s most award-winning distillery” has been earned through the uncompromising dedication of our craftsmen for well over 200 years. Their passion for distilling, passed down for two centuries, is revered by experts worldwide.

In 2013, Buffalo Trace Distillery added its most cherished distinction yet – National Historic Landmark. After taking more than 200 years to achieve, the Distillery joined this elite group of the most influential places in North America. This award, more important that any others, is for the Distillery, its people, its builders, its visionaries, its preservers and its protectors.

North American Bear Weekend is pleased to announce our partnership with Buffalo Trace Distillery for this year’s optional excursion.  The Trace Tour begins with an engaging video of the history of Buffalo Trace Distillery. You will then walk amidst the path of rolling bourbon barrels. You will be captivated by the alluring smell and atmosphere of bourbon sleeping inside the aging warehouses. Then you will go inside the renowned Blanton’s Bottling Hall where you will see signature bourbons being filled, sealed, labeled, and packaged—all by hand.  Guests will enjoy tasting a sampling of Buffalo Trace spirits, as well as a bourbon ball.

This excursion is not included in the Basic “Spartan” Pass.  For an additional $20, you can upgrade your pass to a “Gladiator” Pass which includes the full run package, plus this one-hour tour of the distillery, time to stop off at the gift shop to purchase souvenirs & any liquors you’d like to take home, as well as transportation to & from the distillery directly from the hotel.  Remember to select the GLADIATOR pass at check-out if you would like to participate.  Space is limited to 90 bears…so be sure to book soon, as these spaces will disappear quickly!
